Factorio has sold over 3.5 million copies

At the very end of 2022, the developer Wube Software published a new announcement, in which it informed that the number of sold copies of Factorio is more than 3.5 million units.

"This year we reached another sales milestone with 3.5 million sales this Christmas. We still have steady and consistent sales of around 500,000 every year, which in retrospect vindicates the original no-sales policy we've followed since launching on Steam in 2016," Wube wrote.

The developers also said that they are still working on porting the game's controls to consoles, both full-size and portable like Steam Deck.
