The heads of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard are waiting for the decision on the approval of the transaction by the Regulatory Commission in the UK, but its verdict will be announced later than planned.

British Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) will announce its decision on the biggest merger in the history of the game industry on April 26, 2023, not March 1.

Experts of department will publish the preliminary report at the end of February. For some time, the parties will study the materials presented in it and will have the opportunity to voice the latest arguments, statements, denials and evidence, after which the British Commission will issue a final verdict.

Recall, the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard has already been approved by regulators in Chile, Brazil, Serbia and Saudi Arabia. But much more weighty conclusion CMA and European Union regulators. But the U.S. Federal Trade Commission even intends to ban the deal in court.
