EVE Online will receive two major additions in 2023
The developers of Eve Online, an action-adventure-strategy game and many other genres, have published a New Year's message with some details about their plans for 2023. The recent Uprising expansion intensified EVE's faction warfare by blowing up an entire star, kicking off a series of changes to faction warfare in the notoriously dangerous, low-security space.
It seems that the changes did work: "Most notably, there was a dramatic 75% increase in PvP kills in low-sec, as well as an 11% increase in PvP kills in high-sec, despite the additional ganking restrictions," CCP said. "This has significantly boosted industry and mining, with Navy ship production up 14,709% and capital production up 34%!"
In 2023, the game turns 20 years old and the game is not thinking of stopping. Expansions are planned for the second and fourth quarter of this year, i.e. between April-June and October-December. In addition, this year's big Fanfest will be a celebration of EVE's 20th anniversary in Reykjavik, and it will take place from September 21 to 23.
