Naughty Dog co-president and creative director Neil Druckmann explained why the studio is in no hurry to comment on rumors about its next game.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with ComicBook.com, the game designer said that the early announcement of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and The Last of Us Part II interfered with the workflow, which delayed the development of the games and the network appeared unwanted information about them.

...We did announce Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us Part II early, but just because of that we had work/life balance issues in the studio. If we had delayed the announcement for a while, it would have been easier for us to plan development. Now we are more cautious about production.

Taking into account past negative experiences, Neil Druckmann and his team decided not to make hasty announcements, but to introduce new games shortly before their release. So the presentation of the next Naughty Dog game will have to wait indefinitely, but different sources have already told that the famous developers are working on the third part of The Last of Us. At the same time, we should remind, the work on the multiplayer game in this franchise is still going on.
