The developers of the Forza Horizon series have founded their own studio Maverick Games and are already working on a big-budget game
Some time ago Mike Brown, who was the creative director of Forza Horizon 5, left Playground Games and decided to start his own company.
He was joined by five colleagues from Playground Games, and later the team was joined by some employees from Electronic Arts and Sumo Digital.
The team was named Maverick Games and announced that they were already working on a big-budget open-world game for PC and consoles, but it's unknown whether it will be a race or a game in another genre.
Our goal is to make Maverick Games a studio that people will enjoy.
To gamers we want to tell that we are already working on an exciting super quality game. And to game designers - we are building a home where everyone is encouraged to take risks, be curious, be creative, invent, be themselves and, above all, be Maverick!
The company is currently seeking new talent and is on the lookout for investors.
