Google and Nvidia have expressed concern about the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. Opponents of the merger between the two giants are growing
The number of companies concerned about the consequences of the merger between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, was joined by two more giants: Google and Nvidia.
Here's What We Know
According to Bloomberg, Google and Nvidia sent the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) information about the potential negative impact of the deal on the gaming industry.
In their opinion, Microsoft will get an "unfair advantage" in the video game market, especially in the segment of mobile games, cloud services and subscriptions.
We can state that by getting the support of Google and Nvidia, Sony has significantly strengthened its position on the sensational (but not yet formalized) transaction. In addition, the FTC had a negative attitude to this merger before and intends to block it through the court.
The first reaction of the market to the statement of Google and Nvidia was a sharp drop in the value of Activision Blizzard shares.
