The popularity of chess is nothing new or unexpected - our ancestors have been playing it since at least the sixth century. Over this long period of time, the game has had its ups and downs of interest, such as during the Fischer and Spassky or Kasparov vs. In the 21st century, the rise of interest was caused by the Netflix series The Queen's Gambit.

The game's popularity reached such a level that one of the most popular online chess services, Chess.com, began to crash from time to time. Players could notice this, for example, during an online game that suddenly cut off or simply disappeared.

Recently, the platform released a new statement acknowledging the problems and assuring that the developers are doing their best to ensure that users do not encounter any problems. On January 20, the site had more than 10 million users, a figure that has almost doubled since the beginning of December.

The company is now spending money to buy better equipment, so over time, all problems should disappear.
