Media: Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will not exhibit at E3 2023

IGN has been informed by a reliable source that major gaming industry stars Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will not be attending E3 2023.

Here's What We Know

E3 2023 will take place from June 13-16 in Los Angeles in a traditional format - the first since 2019.

It's worth noting that many developers have given up exhibiting at major shows in favour of their own shows. Sony, for example, has not appeared at such events since 2018.

Microsoft recently announced a summer show, and many have reasonably assumed that it will take place during E3. But apparently this does not fit Phil Spencer's plans, and the US corporation will still hold a separate presentation, incidentally also in Los Angeles.

It is likely that soon we will hear that other game companies will refuse to participate in E3, thus finally burying the once iconic event in the gaming world.
