New "Splatter Royale" mode added to Evil Dead: The Game
The latest update of the horror shooter Evil Dead: The Game has added a new mode, which is "not quite a battle royale", called Splatter Royale. In it, 40 players fight to become the last survivor, choosing from ugly versions of the dead Survivor and Demon characters.
In addition to finding loot, this can also be achieved through special events, some of which require you to face off against elite NPCs or bosses. At the end of each round, you move up Splatter Royale's four skill trees, allowing you to upgrade your skills as an assassin, butcher, commando, or gunslinger.
Two new weapons were added in the same update. The first one is a grenade launcher, which, of course, does what you expect it to do (launch grenades), and the second is a scythe, which looks like a pumped-up version of a knife.
Along with the release of Splatter Royale, an add-on called the Immortal Power Bundle became available for the game. It added a new character, Ruby Knowby, who was based on Ash from Evil Dead. She has the ability to eat souls, strengthening her aura and charging up her unique, AoE blast that damages bad guys and heals good guys. She can also regenerate, boost weapon damage and poison resistance.
