Creative director of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Origins leaves Ubisoft after 17 years
Another important Ubisoft figure is leaving the company.
Jean Guesdon, creative director of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed: Origins, announced his departure.
He thanked his colleagues for 17 years of fruitful collaboration and wished them the best of luck in their future endeavours.
Jean Gesdon had a hand in many parts of Assassin's Creed and contributed a lot to the development and popularization of the games of this franchise.
According to Kotaku, in recent years Gesdon worked for Ubisoft Montreal on an unannounced game tentatively titled Renaissance. The project has been called one of the company's most promising games. What will happen to it after Gesdon's departure is unclear, but there is a possibility that development of that game has been cancelled.
