"Not plagiarism, but development of ideas": critics praise Wild Hearts action game and give it high marks on aggregators
The action-RPG Wild Hearts from Koei Tecmo, Electronic Arts and Omega Force studio will be released tomorrow, February 17.
Here's What We Know
Reviews from major gaming media outlets have appeared on aggregators, and it has to be said that critics have been pleased with Wild Hearts. On Metacritic, the score ranges from 76 to 80 depending on platform, while on OpenCritic the game has a score of 80.
Reviewers note that the game does resemble Monster Hunter, but at the same time it cannot be called a direct plagiarism.
The developers of Wild Hearts brought a lot of their own ideas to the game and they all turned out to be successful (for example, creation of Karakuri - the devices for hunting).
Experts were embarrassed by the lack of variety of monsters. They also noticed not the best optimization of PC-version Wild Hearts, but this aspect could be improved in the nearest updates.
Overall, the game will meet all the expectations of the gamers and is sure to please not only the fans of Monster Hunter, but also new audience.
When We Can Expect It
Wild Hearts will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
