Like Diablo II, but darker: Blizzard game designers reveal Diablo IV's gameworld-building process
The developers of Diablo IV have released a new video from Inside the Game, in which they talk about working on the game's world.
Here's What We Know
The Blizzard team has announced that fourth Diablo game will be much more grim and brooding than its predecessor, since the game's art direction will be heavily influenced by Diablo II. Monsters will have the same stylings, as their appearance has been reconsidered, and in this new installment they've made them even more terrifying and endowed with unique abilities.
Blizzard artists and designers are looking to give Diablo IV a distinctive, hand-drawn aesthetic that will make the game look like an "interactive painting".
Game designers have focused on real-world locations and the architecture of ancient civilizations in creating locations.
When We Can Expect It
Diablo IV will be released on the 6th of June and will be in beta testing in March.
