Tango Gameworks founder and CEO Shinji Mikami leaves his post
Bethesda Vice President Todd Vaughn informed ZeniMax employees in an internal email that Tango Gameworks founder and studio head Mikami Shinji is leaving the company.
Today I'm letting you know that studio head Shinji Mikami has decided to leave Tango Gameworks in the coming months. Mikami was a creative leader and mentor to young developers at Tango for 12 years, working on The Evil Within, Ghostwire: Tokyo and, of course, Hi-Fi Rush franchises.
Reasons for the legendary game designer's departure have not yet been revealed.
This decision seems surprising, because the last two games (Ghostwire: Tokyo and Hi-Fi Rush), created under the direction of Shinji Mikami, were warmly received by gamers and became very popular. And The Evil Within has gathered a lot of fans, who are still hoping for the third instalment to be released.
