Avalanche Software's project is hugely popular among gamers. The game tops many sales charts, has broken the view records on Twitch, and gamers have played it for 280 million hours.

And now new figures have emerged. According to Variety's sources, in the first two weeks of sales Hogwarts Legacy was bought by 12 million players, and the revenues amounted to over $850 million. And that's without the release of Hogwarts Legacy on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, where the game will be released somewhat later.

In comparison, Elden Ring, the best game of 2022, sold 20 million copies in one year, while another clear frontrunner, God of War Ragnarok, reached the 11 million-copy mark in the three months since its release.
