Deadlines, content, special rewards and system requirements: all that's known about Diablo IV's beta test

This month will see the first public beta testing of Blizzard's highly anticipated game, Diablo IV.

The developers have held a special broadcast, where they told gamers about all the nuances of testing.

We present the main points of the stream.

Here's What We Know

The beta test date has not changed.

Those who pre-ordered Diablo IV will be able to try the game from March 17 to 19, and from March 24 to 26 everyone will have access to a trial version of the action-RPG.

Content

The Diablo IV beta will ask gamers to:

  • Complete the prologue and first act;
  • Explore the Fractured Peaks location;
  • A four-player co-op mode will be available;
  • two-player split-screen mode is available on consoles;
  • 10 characters can be created per Battle.net account
  • maximum level of heroes in beta is 25th;
  • Until March 20, only three classes will be available: Barbarian, Bandit, and Wizard. Druid and Necromancer classes will be available from March 24;
  • Once the beta is complete, all progress, including the characters, will be deleted. Only special rewards will be allowed into the full version of Diablo IV.

Special Rewards

  • The title "First Victim" is given to those who reach the Kiovosad settlement with a single character;
  • The title of "Early Traveller" is awarded to those who have developed one character to level 20;
  • the cosmetic item "Beta Wolf Pack" is given to those who have developed at least one character to level 20.

System Requirements

Gamers must meet the following system requirements to participate in the beta:

  • Operating System: 64-bit version of Windows 10;
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8100
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 280;
  • DirectX 12;
  • Disk space: 45GB SSD.

Recommended requirements

  • Operating System: 64-bit version of Windows 10
  • processor: Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD R3-1300X;
  • main memory: 16GB
  • graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 370;
  • DirectX 12;
  • drive space: 45GB SSD.

The developers separately noted that there will be no ray tracing in Diablo IV beta and after the release, but this option will appear in time.
