A board game based on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has been announced

Awaken Realms, which is known for its board games, has signed a contract with the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World to release a board game based on the Stalker universe. The creators promise the same intense atmosphere that fans could see in the video games.

The game will be launched as a crowdfunding campaign on Gamefound sometime this spring.

In the trailer attached to the announcement, someone proclaims his love for The Zone in a fanatical voice: "I serve it", "I care about it", "I receive gifts from it". The video mostly contains cutscenes from the Zone itself, including an eerie swamp, a poppy field, and a city.

The developers describe the board game as a "co-operative storytelling game" based on those from the Chornobyl exclusion zone. Each story consists of 2-4 scenarios, each of which will take the player about 2 hours to complete.
