A film based on Dead by Daylight is being made

The game adaptation machine continues to work, and the next step is the horror-survival game Dead by Daylight. The start of work on the project was announced by Blumnhouse Productions, Atomic Monster, and Behavior Interactive.

The announcement of the film came a few days after Behavior announced the opening of its own gaming division. In turn, Atomic Monster founder and CEO James Wan said in a statement:

In Dead by Daylight the Behaviour team has created a love letter to the world of horror, building an incredible environment teeming with atmosphere and terrifying villains — perfect for a scary cinematic adaptation.

And such an adaptation really makes more sense than, for example, an action film about Pac-Man.

The creators are currently looking for a director and screenwriter for the film. It will be interesting to see how Blumnhouse and Atomic Monster will be able to adapt the game, given that it has many copyrighted characters.
