World of Warcraft players will soon be able to team up with their comrades from another faction
The long-awaited Embers of Neltharion version 10.1 update for World of Warcraft will introduce cross-faction guilds, and the main reason for this is that the developers want friends from the Alliance to be able to play with friends from the Horde.
Here's What We Know
Ion Hazzikostas says that the initial access to inter-faction play in World of Warcraft last year was a hit and many players jumped at the chance to switch sides and try the game for another faction. However, it wasn't all sunshine and many players complained about the lack of certain features, such as guild chat and guild banks.
"We see the ability to join opposite faction guilds that were working towards Embers of Naltharion as addressing that, - Hazzikostas said during the interview. We still want to make this an opt-in feature of the game. It's not going to suggest opposite faction guilds to you. But if you have friends who play with the opposite faction, we want to remove those barriers as much as possible."
When We Can Expect It
There is no official release date for Embers of Neltharion, but we do know that it will include a new raid with nine different bosses and an expansion of the Dragonflight story.
