According to information shared by insider Nick Baker in the latest episode of the Xbox Era podcast, several classic SoulCalibur titles will be remastered. He was informed about this by his personal source, according to which Bandai Namco is preparing remasters of the previous parts of the series. Although Nick himself is not sure whether it will be a remake of the original parts or a collection.

He also suggests that some kind of remaster may already be in the works and that it may even have some kind of Game Pass deal, but Baker immediately warned that he had no information to confirm this.

In particular, Nick has a fairly accurate history of leaks, including games being added to PlayStation Plus, although given the nature of rumours, this could go either way.

There have already been remakes in the history of the franchise, when SoulCalibur II received an HD version for PlayStation 3 and Xbox in 2013. However, the third, fourth, and fifth parts of the series remained without updates, and their versions for Xbox 360 were not even included in the backwards compatibility programme.
