Along with the Atlas Fallen trailer, Deck13 developers also revealed more details about their upcoming RPG.

Here's What We Know

First, the developers told about the game's universe. There is a mysterious Essence that underlies everything. An ancient form of magic built its power on the Essence, but its knowledge has long been lost. But the hero of the game stumbles upon the remnants of magic in the form of an artefact - the Gauntlet.

The Gauntlet gives the owner control over the Essence. So now he can manipulate the Essence grains that are in objects and elements, and can also change their structural integrity or destroy them.

Using the gauntlet, the hero will turn the sand around him into a variety of weapons during battle. Players will also be able to take to the air for vertical movements and move quickly by sliding across the sands of the Atlas.

But it's not that simple. Two important components are required for the glove to function properly: Catalyst and Shards. The role of the Catalyst is to collect the Essence and channel it into itself, increasing its initial strength tenfold. The Catalyst is divided into three fragments - Catalyst Pieces - that need to be found and collected. By doing so, players can unlock a powerful new Gauntlet ability.

Shards are needed to increase the hero's control over the Essence.

As for weapons, there will be three types: Dunecleaver, Sandwhip, and Knuckledust. To make your weapon stronger, you need to accumulate Essence during the battle, this is called Momentum.

Dunecleaver is a heavy weapon that is suitable for dealing very strong blows and has two forms: an axe and a hammer.

Sandwhip is the fastest and most effective weapon. It is suitable for mobile players. You can also use this weapon to keep enemies at a distance and not let them get close to you.

Knuckledust is a fist weapon for delivering a large number of blows to one target.

You can wield two weapons at the same time. In addition, combat capabilities will be significantly enhanced by the use of Essence Stones. They will allow you to perform powerful attacks that can be customised to suit your playstyle.

Players will also use sand to interact with the world around them. You can climb up, move objects, or break magic chains to open up a new location.

When We Can Expect It

Atlas Fallen will be released on 16 May on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
