New York's The Strong Museum has announced its nominees for the video game Hall of Fame.

Here's What We Know

The selection of games is determined by a multitude of criteria, including cultural impact, industry significance, fame and popularity. Most importantly, games must be iconic, recognizable, recognized by millions of gamers and critics, and have an impact on the video game industry and popular culture.

A strict jury selects the most worthy interactive entertainment from thousands of applicants.

Don't be surprised if we don't see any contemporary blockbusters on our annual list of nominees, as their impact on the industry is extremely difficult to gauge at this point in time.

Everyone can take part in the online voting, which runs until March 22nd. The opinion of gamers will be considered in determining the winners, who will be announced by a strict jury on May 4.
