Blizzard has blocked 120,000 World of Warcraft Classic accounts due to unfair use of Death Knight class characters
Blizzard has announced a total blocking of 120,000 World of Warcraft accounts.
The reason for such a large-scale punishment was the abuse of Death Knight class characters by some players.
Here's What We Know
When the Wrath of the Lich King add-on was released in 2008, gamers were unable to create Death Knights until at least one character on their account reached level 55.
In Wrath of the Lich King Classic, the developers did not enforce this moratorium, so players created Death Knights en masse, which automatically gained level 55. This allowed many users to get high-level resources and items, and sell them for real money.
The most dishonest users even resorted to the banned option of using bots to automate and speed up the process. Now such players have been banned, and the developers have brought back the Death Knight restrictions.
