New LEGO Racing game may already be in beta testing

On the latest episode of the XboxEra podcast, Shpshal_Nick shared information that the previously reported LEGO racing game is called LEGO 2K Drive and is currently in closed beta testing:

Last year, VGC reported that LEGO, in collaboration with 2K, was planning to create several sports games, one of which was the very same open-world racing game. This recent report from XboxEra is consistent with that statement, as a beta usually means that the game is relatively close to release, and there are nine months left in the year.

Details about the project itself are scarce - the original report from VGC simply described it as an "open-world game", but Shpeshal_Nick said that he understands that the game will be a closed-chain race that you can access by travelling around the map.

Since there is no official information about the game, we can't name the platforms and release date yet, so let's wait for the news.
