Game Developers Choice Awards expert jury recognises Elden Ring as Best Game of 2022 and God of War Ragnarok wins user vote

The Game Developers Choice Awards 2023 professional gaming awards ceremony has taken place.

Here's What We Know

The renowned video game developers determined the best projects of 2022, looking at each contender from an expert point of view.

And predictably, two of the year's biggest hits were the winners: Elden Ring took the award for Best Game of the Year, and God of War Ragnarok was voted by gamers as Best Game of the Year. A professional jury gave the action game from Sony the awards for Best Sound and Technical Performance, while Elden Ring won for Best Design and Best Graphics

Best Debut 2022 was awarded to the cutesy action game Stray.
