Valve warns: Counter-Strike 2 testers will only be selected based on time spent playing CS:GO before the start of the beta
Counter-Strike 2 began testing last week.
Many players wanted to get on the list, but the developers announced that they would decide who to invite based on three factors:
- time spent playing CS:GO;
- time spent in CS:GO; and confidence rating in the core version;
- date of the last CS:GO game.
It seems that many gamers haven't read beyond the first point and rushed to CS:GO, believing that the more time they will spend in the game, the better the chance to be among the test participants of the new version of the shooter.
Valve has to disappoint such users: they consider the time spent in CS:GO only before the test starts, so now the gamers can sign in just for the fun, without the hope that it will help to get an invitation to Counter-Strike 2.
But don't fret! In time the developer will increase the number of test participants, and maybe you will get there too.
When We Can Expect It
Counter-Strike 2 will be released in summer 2023 only on PC. It may be released on mobile devices as well.
