The financial year 2022 is over and CD Projekt has summed up its results.

Here's What We Know

For the Polish company, 2022 was quite successful: the second best year in the history of CD Projekt.

  • The total revenue amounted to around $222 million;
  • Net profit reached $81 million;
  • Operating profit was $88 million;
  • The company had $256 million in reserves.

The biggest profits came from:

  • Cyberpunk 2077 sales, over $116 million. In September, sales of the game exceeded 20 million copies;
  • 35 million dollars were earned on the sale of The Witcher 3.

The GOG shop is not a bad profit.

CD Projekt CFO Piotr Nielubowicz commented on the restart of Project Sirius development, which caused the company to lose almost 10 million USD. He explained that sometimes it is better to stop and make short-term losses than get bogged down in a knowingly failed project. In this game, based on the universe The Witcher developers plan to implement a lot of innovative ideas that require the most intelligent use of financial resources.

CD Projekt will be redirecting 46 million dollars of this year's profits to Project Orion (a new game based on the Cyberpunk universe) and Hadar (a game in a completely new franchise). The creation of this project is in pre-production).
