Grinding Gear has revealed what's new in the Crucible expansion pack for Path of Exile, including skill trees for certain weapons, new nodes for instant travel through the Atlas passive tree, the Crucible Challenge League, and new Vaal skills and items.

Here's What We Know

Crucible reveals the secrets of the ancient titans that once formed the surface of Wraeclast (an island located far from the known world). Players can forge their power into their weapons using abilities that will be unlocked over time. As they explore Wreaclast, they will find forges that will allow them to channel the power of these titans into a challenging battle. The longer you do this, the stronger the monster you'll end up slaying, for which you'll receive valuable rewards.

It also looks like the voice of the community has been heard, as the Crucible DLC has made significant changes to the skill tree to improve gameplay. For example, players can now enrich their weapons with custom passive skill trees. By gaining experience, they will be able to unlock skills on their weapons and develop them by completing the tasks in the forge mentioned earlier.

When players reach the end of the expansion, which will take place in the Forge of the Titans, they will be able to melt down their weapons to combine passive skill trees from different weapons. This will allow them to create a powerful skill tree for their weapon. In addition, the expansion also introduces Atlas Gateways, which allow players to travel through different skill trees. Thanks to three pairs of gateways, they can quickly move from the left side of the skill tree to the right and vice versa, allowing them to easily interact with all the content.

Release Date

The release of Path of Exile: Crucible is scheduled for 6 April.
