Caring for the environment: Microsoft announces eco-friendly Xbox controller made from recycled plastic

Microsoft has joined the global environmental trend by unveiling a new controller for the Xbox.

The gamepad called Remix Special Edition is made of recycled plastic and will be available on April 18. The eco-device will cost $84.99.

Since a variety of material is recycled, the gamepad's hues and textures may vary slightly, but each purchaser will have a unique green-colored controller that emphasizes its eco-friendly nature.

The Remix Special Edition will do away with batteries in favour of a rechargeable battery that can withstand 30 hours of active use.
