Insider: Sony is indeed working on a handheld console. It could be unveiled as early as early June
Authoritative insider Tom Henderson has confirmed rumours that Sony is working on a new handheld console and has revealed some details about it.
Here's What We Know
According to Insider Gaming's sources, the device has a working name of Q Lite.
The console will be complementary to the PlayStation 5, as it will be the home device that will be streaming the image, not through cloud services, but through Remote Play technology.
The data will be streamed in 1080p resolution at 60 FPS, and the Q Lite itself will look like a DualSense controller, but with an 8-inch LCD screen.
The console will have audio control buttons, multiple cable connectors and a speaker on the body.
When We Can Expect It
According to the insider, the Q Lite is currently going through a quality check and could be available soon.
There is every reason to believe that the device will be announced at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase, which will unofficially be held in early June.
