The remake and reimagining of the detective game Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened by Ukrainian studio Frogwares has been released.
Here's What We Know
Aggregators have published scores of subject matter experts and they are, unfortunately, not as high as expected.
At the time of writing, the highest score on Metacritic is for PS5 version - 76 points, on PC - 74 points, on Xbox Series - 75 points. On OpenCritic, the average score is 77.
Critics agree that the remake of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened surpassed the original game of 2007 and successfully combines elements of the horror works of Howard Ph. Lovecraft with detective stories of Arthur Conan Doyle.
On the downside, reviewers noted the slightly monotonous gameplay, the small number of side quests and the technical issues present.
Overall, it's not a bad game for Sherlock Holmes fans and fans of Frogwares games.
