Another country has backed the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.
Brazil, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Chile, Japan, Serbia, and the UAE were joined by the Republic of South Africa.
The South African regulator reviewed the submissions and concluded that the merger between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard would not harm the gaming industry.
That's good news for Microsoft, but the corporation still has a bigger challenge: convincing regulators in the UK, the EU and the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) of the legitimacy of the deal. Without the approval of these authorities, the deal will not go through.
