Pokémon GO developers announce Monster Hunter Now AR game: now gamers will have a new reason to go out
Remember Pokémon GO? How people walked the streets and "caught" Pokémon...
Niantic, the studio that created Pokémon GO, decided to repeat the success and announced a similar game, but this time based on the Monster Hunter franchise.
Here's What We Know
Monster Hunter Now is a free-to-play AR mobile game that involves walking the streets in search of monsters from the popular Capcom fantasy universe.
The principle of Monster Hunter Now is largely identical to Pokémon GO, but there are some features as well. For example, you can go "hunting" in a group of up to four people, and found monsters can be marked and defeated at home.
Of course, even though the game is free to play, Monster Hunter Now will find somewhere to spend your money through microtransactions.
When We Can Expect It
Monster Hunter Now is scheduled to launch in September 2023. The game will be available on iOS and Android.
The beta testing of the project will begin on April 25. In order to participate, you need to register on the official website.
