From Nintendo's financial report: Switch total sales exceeded 125.62 million units and users bought more than 1 billion copies of games

While Microsoft and Sony are figuring things out in the console battle, Nintendo remains the absolute leader in the gaming market.

The Japanese company has released its financial report for the 1st quarter of the calendar year.

Let's note the huge popularity of the Nintendo Switch consoles.

In the first three months of 2023, 3.07 million were sold, with total sales of the hybrid console exceeding 125.62 million units. Another 15 million Nintendo Switch units are scheduled to be sold by the end of this year.

Games

In the three months of 2023, 41.85 million games were sold for Nintendo Switch, and over 1.036 billion copies have been bought since 2017.

The Most Successful Switch Exclusives:

  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 53.79 million;
  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons - 42.21 million;
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - 3109 million;
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 29.81 million;
  • Pokemon Sword and Shield - 25.82 million;
  • Super Mario Odyssey - 25.76 million;
  • Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - 22.1 million;
  • Super Mario Party: 19.14 million; New Super Mario Bros;
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe - 15,41 million; Ring Fit Adventure - 15,38 million;
  • Ring Fit Adventure - 15.38 million.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet remains the most-bought game of recent months for the Japanese company, which was released on 18 November 2022 and has sold more than 22.10 million copies so far.
