In a chat with investors, Electronic Arts head of publishing Andrew Wilson touched on the subject of the next installment in the Battlefield series.

Wilson has mentioned Battlefield several times during the conversation, but no details were given, and the release date of the new game remains unknown.

Recall that after the unsuccessful release of Battlefield 2042, former Call of Duty development chief Byron Beede and former Respawn Entertainment executive Vince Zampella were appointed to lead the franchise. Perhaps it's these men who will bring Battlefield back to its former popularity.
