World of Warcraft: Classic will get official servers with Hardcore mode
Just two months after the first rumours emerged, it became known that World of Warcraft Classic will receive official servers with Hardcore mode. As the name implies, the mode's peculiarity is its extreme difficulty - the inability to respawn under any circumstances. You have one life, and in case of death, you will have to start the game with a new character.
The new feature was announced via the World of Warcraft Twitter account. "Spirit healers are ready," it said. But what are they ready for? It is not clear...
The details have not yet been fully revealed, but we have some idea. It is clear that players will have only one life, and death will be irreversible - you cannot be resurrected regardless of the circumstances. However, after you die, you will be able to return as a ghost to pass on guild leadership or contact your friends. Hardcore servers will be completely new, created specifically for this concept, and not conversions of old servers.
Another exciting new feature is the introduction of a new version of the Duel feature called /makgora, which will allow you to fight to the death. A real literal death, not just a defeat in a duel. Now, when you win a duel, your opponent will be really dead. The battle for key territories will become even more exciting as you fight on the brink of life and death.
