This is no joke: the long-suffering remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is back in early production

It's hard to believe, but the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, announced in 2020, is back in early production.

Here's What We Know

After Ubisoft's indie division completely botched the update of the iconic Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time game, development of the game has been given to Ubisoft Montréal headquarters.

But the game is still a long way off, as Ubisoft's website has revealed that the remake is still in the development team and concept stage.

It is still unclear whether Ubisoft Montréal will use the work of their Indian colleagues, but if you remember the failed announcement trailer from Ubisoft Mumbai, then most likely the work will be started from scratch.
