"Worms" will spread across the table! Fundraising for Worms: The Board Game, the tabletop version of the iconic video game, kicks off this summer

Another unusual board game has been announced.

This time, based on one of the oldest video game franchises, Worms, which will be 30 years old in 2025.

Here's What We Know

Team17 and Mantic Games studios have started work on Worms: The Board Game and are planning to start raising money on Kickstarter in August from everyone who wants to see their favourite Worms on their table.

Details on Worms: The Board Game have not yet been revealed, but it is stated that it will be a tactical game that can be played alone or in a company of four. A single game session is planned to last around 45 minutes, during which players will create their own teams of worms, select weapons and gadgets for them, and battle it out.

The game will feature over 100 figures, 3 double-sided fields, 6 dice and over 200 cards.

Like the digital version, the tabletop adaptation of Worms is intended to be simple and fun.

When We Can Expect It

Worms: The Board Game is scheduled for release in 2024.
