Halo Infinite will have changes to the progression system with the release of Season 4
Season 4 of Halo Infinite will bring a new progression system for players in addition to new content. According to the latest blog post on the official Halo Waypoint website, starting from 20 June (which is when Season 4 will be released), players will be able to use the new Career Rank, a way to track their progress in all game modes. The career rank system will resemble the progression in Halo: Reach and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, with an indication that it is most similar to the latter game.
"To make progress through these new ranks, all you have to do is play, - senior community manager John Junyszek said in the blog, - Whether you’re jumping into your favorite playlist solo or squadding up with your friends, every completed matchmaking game carries you forward. Additionally, Career Rank utilises performance-based progression taken directly from your Personal Score in each match. The better you play, the faster you’ll rank up."
The progression graphic shows players starting as a recruit and progressing through six different "levels" - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Onyx - before reaching the final rank, Hero. Each level is made up of military-style "ranks" that are subdivided into smaller degrees.
Player ranks will be displayed when you log into a match, in player profiles and in match reports after the game.
