Prince of Persia is back in a new guise! Ubisoft announces dynamic 2D action Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

Summer Game Fest kicked off with a surprise announcement from Ubisoft.

The developers have unveiled Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, a new installment of the iconic franchise in a whole new way.

The game is a dynamic and, judging by the trailer, a brutal 2D action game with a significant amount of platformer elements.

Just like in the very first Prince of Persia games, the action takes place in side-view, and the protagonists will have to jump over dangerous traps and obstacles and fight dangerous enemies at the same time.

The Prince's appearance is also interesting: he doesn't look like the hero of the previous episodes, and it seems that he is a new character.

When We Can Expect It

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown will be released on January 18, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
