Gorilla Gaming is an Australian video game store that has indicated on the Silent Hill 2 remake page that the game is due out on 29 September 2023.

Here's What We Know

Whether this is a mistake or not remains a mystery. Publisher Capcom and developer Bloober Team have not yet commented on this information. However, it is worth mentioning that in March 2023, Peter Babineau, CEO of Bloober Team, said that the game was being developed faster than planned and that the project was technically ready. But of course, you shouldn't blindly believe the information from Gorilla Gaming, but take it as a rumour.

Flashback

Silent Hill 2 Remake is being developed by the Polish studio Bloober Team, known for such games as The Medium, Observer, and Layers of Fear. The game is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5, which will make it even more atmospheric than the original. One of the features of the remake will be a standard third-person view, as if the camera is located behind the protagonist's shoulders. The game will also improve the combat system and facial animations to better convey the emotions of the characters. The game will initially be exclusive to PlayStation 5 for a year, and then it will appear on PC.
