The developers of the dystopian fantasy role-playing game Dragon's Dogma II didn't show any gameplay footage at the Capcom Showcase, but revealed some of the game's main features.
Here's What We Know
Dragon's Dogma II Game Director Hideaki Itsuno revealed the following details about the game, based on the gameplay footage Capcom showed at PlayStation Showcase
- One of the main features of the first installment - the ability to recruit allies - will not only remain in the new game, but will be significantly improved. Pawns" system will allow to choose companions for your playing style, and their advanced artificial intelligence will make sure that in battle, they behave intelligently and easily adapt to any situation;
- the open world of Dragon's Dogma II four times larger than the first part. Locations will be filled with interesting places and secrets;
- The game will feature both familiar monsters and brand-new enemies, like the Medusa featured in the trailer;
- the main character will be able to learn new professions;
- Thanks to possibilities of RE Engine, Dragon's Dogma II will have realistic physical model, so a lot of objects can be destroyed and the heroes will be able to climb the monster or pull its leg;
- Ulrika, the archer, and Nadinia, the high priestess (shown on the game's artwork) will play key roles in the story.
When We Can Expect It
A release date for Dragon's Dogma II has not yet been announced. The game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
