Rumour: Korean Video Game Evaluation Committee's website mentions LEGO 2K Goooal!
Gematsu reports that an unannounced project in the LEGO universe dedicated to football has appeared on the website of the Korean Game Evaluation and Administration Committee.
Here's What We Know
The game is called LEGO 2K Goooal! There is no more information about it at the moment, but the appearance of a game on the Korean committee's website usually indicates an active development process. For example, in August 2022, the same website mentioned The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, and the release took place in March 2023. Therefore, we can expect that the official announcement and the first trailers of LEGO 2K Goooal! will appear in less than a year, and then, if there are no problems during development, a full release should take place.
Flashback
This is not the first attempt by 2K to create a sports LEGO arcade. On 19 May, LEGO 2K Drive was released, offering players various competitions, the opportunity to create their own car, play with friends, and explore the big world. Although the concept sounds interesting, player comments on Metacritic were negative and the game received only 4 out of 10 points, and on Steam, most reviews are mixed. Players have criticised 2K Drive for trying to extract money from gamers, although this has not been the case with LEGO games before, where there were no microtransactions. So it's interesting to see if 2K can rehabilitate itself with a new game or if it will make the same mistakes.
