Critics have described Layers of Fear as a high-tech and sophisticated horror game that isn't terribly scary, though. Many journalists found it boring to wander the dark corridors and gloomy rooms for 13 hours.
Most likely, the gameplay, which was relevant in 2016, now looks outdated, but critics noted that the updated version of Layers of Fear became the best project of the Polish studio at the moment.
