The time for Xbox One is over - that's been officially acknowledged by Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty in an interview with Axios.

Here's What We Know

Booty said that 2.5 years after the launch of the Xbox Series, Microsoft will stop releasing games on the previous generation Xbox One console.

However, the company will continue to support and release updates for games that have already been released, such as Minecraft.

In the same interview, Matt Booty said that Microsoft is obliging internal studios to optimise new projects for the Xbox Series S, a weaker console, so that new products will be available to the maximum number of gamers, even if it takes longer to do so.
