Tower of London to display Final Fantasy 16 sword at the Royal Armouries
For a month, a replica of the sword of the protagonist of Final Fantasy XVI Invictus will be on display in the Tower of London. The sword will be displayed alongside authentic armour once worn by members of the British royal family.
Here's What We Know
Emma Mawdsley, Keeper of the Tower Armoury, said: "It's amazing to see the historic art of swordmaking live on in video games, and what better way to celebrate than by showcasing the exclusive sword from Final Fantasy 16 alongside the Royal Armoury's collection of arms and armour."
The sword was created by fencer Tod Todeschini, who explained: "Square Enix wanted to bring the sword from Final Fantasy 16 from the digital world to the real world. The first and most challenging task was to develop a way to implement it. I'm pleased with the end result and proud that the sword will be available to fans as part of the Royal Armories collection at the Tower of London."
When We Can Expect It
Final Fantasy 16 will be released on PlayStation 5 tomorrow, 22nd of June.
