Xbox Game Studios head doesn't rule out the possibility of The Outer Worlds 2 RPG coming to PlayStation 5
The Outer Worlds 2 RPG from Obsidian Entertainment was announced in June 2021 and will be a direct sequel to the 2019 game.
It has been announced that the project is being developed for Xbox Series X|S and PC, but it has now been reported that it may be released on PlayStation as well.
Here's What We Know
During the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) court hearing against the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard merger, Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty made a surprise announcement.
He said that Microsoft hasn't ruled out the possibility of The Outer Worlds 2 coming to PlayStation 5. The executive went out of his way to give a straight answer, but assured that "a decision has not yet been made".
A Microsoft spokesman once again confirmed that the American corporation strives to make its games as accessible as possible to a wide audience and is ready to release them on other platforms, and if the first The Outer Worlds was available on Sony console, then nothing prevents the second part to come to PlayStation.
