Troy Baker, who played Joel in The Last of Us series of games, presented a trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller game Fort Solis. He told us why he agreed to take part in the development of the game and when it will be released.

Here's What We Know

Troy wanted to work with Roger Clarke (Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2), who will play engineer Jack Leary. Baker also noted the interesting storyline of the game and the fact that Fort Solis is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5, which allows to create incredible visuals.

Troy Baker also said that the game will be released on August 22.

At the same time, we were shown a short trailer in which we can notice strange events at a remote mining station on Mars, where the heroes are trying to survive.

Flashback

Fort Solis is a first-person sci-fi thriller set on a remote mining station on Mars. The team was inspired by projects such as Detroit: Become Human and The Quarry, which focus on storytelling. As for cinema, they looked at Duncan Jones' Moon. The gameplay was inspired by Dead Space, which has a mysterious space atmosphere with narrow corridors and dark rooms. The game is created in the style of a "continuous shot", as it was in God of War (2018) and the film 1917.

Troy Baker plays the role of Dr Wyatt Taylor here.

When We Can Expect It

Fort Solis will be released on 22 August on PC and PlayStation 5.
