She's alive: Valve releases big summer update for Team Fortress 2, adding 14 maps, dozens of cosmetic items, and fixes many bugs
The iconic Team Fortress 2 was released back in 2007, and some people have long forgotten about the game and believe that it is "dead", but it still has a good online presence (at the time of writing, 130 thousand people are playing TF2 at the same time) and Valve decided not to give up on the game and released a big summer update.
Here's What We Know
The first thing worth noting is that the game has 14 maps created by the community: Sharkbay, Rotunda, Phoenix, Cashworks, Venice, Reckoner, Sulfur, Hardwood, Pelican Peak, Selbyen, VSH Tiny Rock, VSH Distillery, VSH Skirmish, and VSH Nucleus.
A lot of cosmetics have also been added. The game now has a new case containing 25 cosmetic items. The community has also made 6 taunts, 20 unusual effects, and 10 new battle colours for the game.
In addition, Valve has improved connection stability and security and fixed many bugs. More details about the update can be found here.
If you haven't played Team Fortress 2 or want to relive your youth, the game is available for free on Steam.
