Dinosaurs breaks Capcom's streak of success: action game Exoprimal gets subdued reviews and doesn't attract much attention from gamers
Capcom's co-operative action game Exoprimal has been released.
All recent projects of this Japanese developer received high marks from critics and positive feedback from gamers. But it seems that Capcom's success could not last forever and the game about extermination of dinosaur crowds will spoil the general picture of the company's releases.
Here's What We Know
On Metacritic and OpenCritic aggregators there are still no Exoprimal ratings, so we have to rely on Steam users' reviews. And they are not too optimistic.
At the time of writing, the game has only 57% positive feedback with 181 reviews.
Peak online is also not impressive - the maximum number of players is 3709 people.
Players agree that Exoprimal is a simple, fun and uncomplicated action game that will brighten up a few evenings, especially if played in company. It doesn't have deep gameplay, interesting plot and unusual concept. Probably, soon nobody will remember about the game.
Gamers were also unpleasantly surprised by the cost of Exoprimal, which is clearly overpriced.
The game is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
