Even in single-player mode, the Payday 3 shooter will require a constant internet connection

Brand Director of Starbreeze studio Almir Listo announced not the most pleasant news for fans of co-operative shooter Payday.

During his regular stream the developer mentioned that to play Payday 3 you need constant internet connection.

Access to the network is needed even during the single-player game.

Almir Listo explained it by the fact that Payday 3 features crossplay and crossgen options, and they require an uninterrupted internet connection to function. This makes Payday 3 one of those games that are not recommended for Steam Deck, but technically playable on this device - you just need a Wi-Fi hotspot.

When We Can Expect It

Payday 3 will be released on 21 September on PC (Steam, Epic Game Store), Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.
